Summary :

To assist the crewing department with administration of the company's shore staff

Reports to : Crewing Manager


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain crew personal records
  • Upkeep crew training records and crew training arrangements
  • Assist the crewing department with the administration of the company's sea staff
  • Assist in checking crewing-related documentation and invoices
  • Coordinate crew changes and logistics
  • Report to Crewing Manager and support crewing department with fleet of vessels.
  • Arrange for the interview, medical check-up, travel, lodging etc. for seafarers.
  • Arrange for and verify seafarers’ licenses, permits, certificates and documentation.
  • Prepare and brief seafarers on their employment contracts, company policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with seafarer recruitment agencies.
  • Support the crewing manager in the preparation and review of monthly crew payroll.
  • Ensure and maintain confidentiality.
  • Any other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Meticulous, proactive, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
  • Able to work well both independently and in a team.
  • Positive and attention to detail.
  • Experience in Sage Easypay Software would be an advantage
