As a member of engineering Asia team, the Design Engineer will be responsible for seat climate products design and development to support business growth of Asia. This person will also be partner with global R&D team.
The Role
Key responsibilities include the following:
- To develop and design the product or part from the first idea through the design process and the validation phase until the product is implemented in production.
- To be responsible for overseeing, developing and establishing layout and packing models, CAD drawings for prototypes and serial production and continuously through the development process to perform tolerance- and CAE studies. To ensure that the products meet all relevant specifications and are designed for assembly under normal serial production conditions.
- Defining product special characteristics
- Creating and releasing engineering BOM/part list avoiding restricted materials
- Releasing of product drawings in accordance with ECN’s
- Participate in product development and innovation activities.
- Conduct product technical meetings and design reviews.
- Participate in installation audits.
- Participate in lessons learned meetings.
- Participate in cost saving activities (VAVE)
- Fulfil design based on basic knowledge of quality policy and quality menu.
Qualifications
University Level
Bachelor/Master of engineering or corresponding education/experience
Three (3) years experience of design processes / role. At least ( 1) years automotive industry.
Automotive seat / seat climate experience is preferred.
Knowledge of 3-D design, Good CATIA skill is must.
Good communication skills (oral and written)
Presentation skills
Ability to travel
Language skills must include English
