About the role and youWe are looking for an ABAP Application Security Engineer, who would, after an extensive onboarding period, work with a focus on cybersecurity topics of software services built on cloud technologies e.g., Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google GCP, and SAP BTP. Our new team member will also have the chance to gain further experiences in secure development and operations topics within our solution portfolio in an agile environment.
The role is located in the central Application Security Team of SAP Fioneer, which enables application security excellence in our product development teams. You will work in different phases of cloud software development and operations based on your skills and ambitions, and will be responsible for enabling and supporting software engineers to apply state-of-the-art software security techniques together with your team following agile practices and in close collaboration with our international teams.
On a day-to-day basis you'll get to:
- Understand given Cloud Security Requirements and explain them to developers
- Create examples to illustrate how to implement cloud security requirements
- Learn to apply Cloud Security secure configuration tools
- Analyse reports of Cloud Security secure configuration tools and support developers in mitigating the results
Requirements
We would love to meet someone who:
- Has first-hand experience with programming languages, development experience in any cloud environment is a plus
- Has excellent communication and people-focused skills
- Is eager to learn and improve your cloud application security skills
- Ideally, has initial professional experience of DevSecOps in the cloud, secure cloud configuration, secure cloud operations, vulnerability management
- Is fluent in English and open to other cultures and ideas
