Internet Investigator (OSINT) [United States]


 

The Internet Investigator (OSINT) is primarily responsible for conducting detailed investigations of key players and other global targets involved in copyright infringement, including the investigation of individuals and organizations.

Candidates must have detailed skills in OSINT and attribution methods, including social media research. Advanced work ethic and creative problem-solving skills, including the ability to work well with minimal supervision and guidance, are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed investigations of key players and other global targets involved in copyright infringement, including the investigation of individuals and organizations.

    Deliver forensically sound and actionable investigative reports.
  • Recommend appropriate handling of cases and identify enforcement options, including both civil and criminal actions.
  • Proactively detect and analyze new potential targets.
  • Any other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in due diligence, digital forensics, security incident response, anti-piracy, threat intelligence, or similar field.
  • Detailed skills in conducting investigations with a focus on attribution through OSINT techniques, social media research, and other similar investigative methods.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to tailor investigative reports to the intended audience.
  • Ability to create, organize, and analyze complex data sets while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including an ability to think outside the box.
  • Display sound judgment, critical thinking, and strong attention to detail.
  • Possess the highest level of work ethic and integrity with the ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Experience in copyright infringement investigations is a plus.

Location

This is a fully remote position that is open to candidates located in one of the following states only: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, or Virginia.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $55,000-65,000. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off (including a 1-week end-of-year break), flexible spending account, 401(k) with employer match, and more.
