Family Chef
Responsibilities:
- Plan menus and prepare meals for the family according to their dietary preferences, restrictions, and schedules
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and pantry
- Keep inventory of food supplies and restock as necessary
- Prepare meals in a timely and efficient manner
- Present meals in an attractive and appetizing manner
- Pack and label leftovers for storage
- Occasionally prepare meals for guests or special events
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a professional chef, with a focus on family-style or home-style cooking
- Experience preparing meals for individuals with dietary restrictions or preferences (e.g. gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.)
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and styles of presentation
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding the family's private affairs
- A degree or certificate in culinary arts is a plus, but not required
