Denny's is looking for Servers to join our team! We are a upscale fine dining restaurant in Barrie, ON looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and service oriented individuals to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet customers as they enter our restaurant.
- Prepare and serve guests.
- Assist the other servers with greeting, timing, and checking customers.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations (e.g., hygiene) at all times.
- Maintain a clean work area and surrounding areas.
- Communicate with other staff members (cashier, runners, etc.)to ensure a smooth running service team.
- Prepare and serve all items on the menu, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
- Answer any customer questions or provide any recommendations for improving the quality of food or services.
- Maintain regular communication with management teams to discuss issues or trends that could affect the restaurant team's performance.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail is key to success in this role. You will be expected to work quickly and efficiently while also being able to maintain a clean work area and greet guests with enthusiasm and professionalism throughout your shift.
Skills
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
- Ability to stay motivated and able to prioritize tasks on your own
- Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Open Table and Open Shift is a plus but not required
- Ability to maintain an organized workspace and prep areas
- Ability to lift 30 pounds without assistance
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week
Salary: From $15.50 per hour
