Annual salary offered is $65,000 to $80,000.

The primary purpose of the Branch Manager is to coordinate and direct the day-to-day store operations to meet or exceed sales and margin targets by promoting sales and excellent customer service; maintain adequate inventory levels and monitors purchases to control expenses. Ensures both facility and staff are in compliance with Safety and Regulatory standards that includes Branch Operations Risk Audits, Food and Drug Administration, Department of Transportation, and Customer Effort Scores. Provide guidance to team members on how to provide effective and efficient service to customers, good housekeeping, and overall operating efficiency.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

In particular, you will:
  • Provide consistent professional customer service to all walk-ins or call-in customer inquiries regarding products, price, and technical information.
  • Support the outside sales force as needed in servicing and obtaining new business.
  • Oversee and ensure that cash reports, charge tickets, coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summary, and bank deposits are processed accurately on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of back order reports, open order reports, and PO expedite report.
  • Establish and manage cylinder and/or hardgoods inventory levels for the branch.
  • Supervise the training of inside sales associates in areas including product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety; ensure that all associates are trained to perform critical branch functions.
  • Responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment. Ensure any injury or accident is reported immediately, and investigated promptly.
  • Maintain and upgrade selling skills and technical/product knowledge for the branch with the required literature, providing customer follow-up and gathering sales leads.
  • Maintain a positive work environment for the branch in all direct or indirect communications.
  • Manages and oversees the branch inventory and daily inventory cycle counts and maintains showroom and warehouse appearance.
  • Oversees reoccurring orders process for the branch on a daily basis.
  • Ensures that internal and external customers receive prompt acknowledgment and service in a pleasant manner.
  • Manages associate training in procedural areas, such as following all Airgas Operating Standards and safety regulations.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor associates; this will include positive motivation and performance evaluation.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop the necessary team to ensure success for branch goals.
  • Provides leadership and management direction to associates with day-to-day operations of the retail store, including compliance, retail sales, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Manages work hours and approves overtime in the timekeeping system.
  • Responsible for managing truck distribution, maintenance, and DOT Compliance.
  • Maintains store in a clean and orderly manner.
  • All employees are expected to perform any reasonable work request that falls within the qualifications but not specifically described.

Are you a MATCH?
Required Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred in business management, finance, or similar.
Required Length and Type of Experience:
  • Basic product knowledge of welding, safety, gases, and supplies preferred.
  • Requires two to five years of experience in an industrial retail, inside sales, customer service, and/or inventory control-related position.
  • Two to five years of experience managing and building teams through effective leadership required.
  • SAP or similar software system experience and intermediate skills with Google Suite are a plus.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s):
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; well organized; creative problem solving; strong service orientation; strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence, work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to excel in a deadline-oriented environment and demonstrate a high level of competence in
  • organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of
  • individuals at all organizational levels.
