"Balmain Coffee Company" is an extension of our business along with our "Supply - Your Local Food Store" offer which is an amazing range of made in store products.

About the role

We are looking for people to join our teams who have a positive attitude, a hardworking spirit, and the willingness to learn. You'll need a passion for coffee, food, and exceptional customer service!

We are recruiting for multiple positions at our bp Wentworth Falls, bp Katoomba and IGA Blackheath stores:

bp Wentworth Falls:

Barista / Customer Service (2 positions)

6.00am to 12.00pm Sunday to Wednesday
6.00am to 12.00pm Thursday to Saturday

bp Katoomba:

Console Operator / Customer Service (2 positions)

Various shift times between 6am and 5pm - Saturday to Tuesday
Various shift times and days to be confirmed up to 20 hours per week

IGA Blackheath:

Barista / Customer Service (1 position)

8.00am to 4.00pm Sunday and 12.00pm to 4.00pm Monday & Tuesday

Our stores are open every day of the week 24/7 (including weekends and public holidays). It is important that you can get to and from work safely, so you do need access to reliable transport.

What you will be doing

  • Delivering above customer expectation service for our valued customers
  • Delivering the highest quality of Barista made coffee and made on site café products
  • Ensuring our fresh food cabinets are always full of fresh quality products, baking throughout the shift
  • Complete sale transactions using the Point Of Sale.
  • Maintaining site standards including cleanliness, merchandising and promotional displays
  • Conduct activities in accordance with safety and operational procedures, on the forecourt and in-store
  • Ongoing training as required to remain up to date on the latest learning

What we need from you

  • Barista experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a customer centric mindset
  • The ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Well presented, strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a positive and close-knit team as well as thrive independently
  • Expected to cover/swap shifts within the team and sites from time to time
  • Able to work on public holidays as required including Christmas and Easter (our busiest days of the year)
