The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA), a national association serving nurses and other healthcare professionals working in palliative and hospice care, is seeking an experienced Membership Administrative Assistant.

The Membership Administrative Assistant provides frontline customer-service support in order to achieve the overall mission and objectives of the enterprise. In this role, the individual directly interacts with constituents and ensures seamless delivery of service to meet customers’ needs. The Membership Administrative Assistant will master multiple products and services of the entire association and those within the membership department.

Responsibilities for this role include the following:

· Successfully resolve all customer requests while providing an exceptional customer-service experience.

· Directly communicate with customers across the enterprise, collect customer and payment information, process customer payments, escalate complex inquires, and satisfy all customer needs.

· Process membership and product orders.

· Coordinate communications, meetings, record-keeping (minutes), and filing.

· Contribute to national office administrative activities.

· Update information within the enterprise’s association management system (AMS), perform regular database maintenance, distribute regular reports produced from the AMS, and review organizational data for accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

· Technical and/or administrative/business education preferred

· Two (2) or more years of experience in customer service

· Proficient with Microsoft Office and virtual platforms

· Ability to prioritize and multitask to fulfill customer and department requests

· Association experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Administrative Assistants & Receptionists: 2 years (Required)
