What you'll do:
The goal of our Night Guest Service Agents (GSAs) is to provide a warm welcome to every visitor who passes through our lobby and/or approaches our front desk. As a lobby host, our GSAs consider the lobby space their Great Room, and everyone who passes through it is made to feel celebrated and appreciated. Our GSAs ensure our guests’ arrival and departure experiences are warm and flawless. With a brain that is part Tour Guide, part Accountant, part Problem Solver and Talk Show Host – a GSA can easily turn a negative guest experience into the highlight of a guest’s vacation! The responsibilities of this position include:
To provide and display excellent guest service skills, to Marriott standards
To provide superior guest service upon check-in and check-out of each guest
Responds to guest problems in a timely and professional manner, utilizing the empowerment process
Answers and responds to calls
Complete daily shift task lists and audit reports
Provides information to guests about the procedures, policies and facilities of the hotel
Takes messages on behalf of guests
Maintain rate and inventory levels
Provides operational support to all Front Office areas
Responds to guest concerns and solicits guest feedback using the LEARN process
Ensures guest safety and security by keeping all guest information confidential and handling guestroom keys in a professional manner
Maintains guest accounts.
Issues guest receipts and completes cash transactions
Attends and participates in the daily Front Office pre-shift meetings
Undertakes special projects and other duties as assigned
What you'll offer us:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalency, Hospitality Management diploma or degree preferred
Minimum of 6 months experience in a related position
Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, knowledge of PMS an asset
Fluency in additional language(s) an asset
Helpful, friendly and patient attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to accurately record information
Great attention to detail
Must be able to work night shift 11pm to 7:30am on a variety of days
