Weekend Kitchen Porter (Daytime shifts) [Ireland]

 

The Bedford Townhouse (on Bedford Row) is seeking an experienced Weekend Kitchen Porter to join our Kitchen team (minimum of 2 shifts per week). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a family owned boutique business which is locally owned and operated in the heart of Limerick City. Shifts will be 4-8 Hours (daytime) during weekends and bank holidays depending on operational requirements.

This role will report in to our Restaurant Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Excels at customer service excellence
• Responsible for all Kitchen Porter Duties and supporting the Kitchen Operation.
• Support other kitchen operations as required - e.g. food prep
• To undertake cleaning duties as required and as directed by management
• High standard of personal appearance and hygiene
• Good attention to detail and takes a pride in their work
• Works well under pressure
• The ability to work in a team environment
• The ability to work in a quick and efficient manner at pace
• To comply with all policies and procedures
• To comply with food hygiene and health and safety standards
• To ensure all duties are completed within timeframes
• Punctual, reliable and enthusiastic with an optimistic outlook
• Able to work flexible hours that include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and possible holidays

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Good knowledge of food service and basic food hygiene
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Fluent English
• A passion for small business and local produce

Job Type: Part-time

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
