Role
Represent the Finance Department in the Company. Manage and streamline the financial affairs of the company. In addition, leads in the formulation of financial policies, programs, and budget development.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, directs and manages subordinate personnel involved in developing, implementing and maintaining policies and practices for the financial management, budget control, payroll transfer, accounting, purchasing, and fixed assets and inventory system and functions.
- Ensures the effective management of the Company financial operations. Oversees accounting, treasury, purchasing, inventory, budget and auditing activities of the Company.
- Manages operating and capital budget planning, grants and endowment management.
- Ensures compliance with financial controls and provides financial forecasting/analysis leadership to manage the annual budget.
- Oversees the preparation, compilation and distribution of financial reports and special reports as required on a monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual basis.
- Assists the development of the Company strategic plan. Develops short and long term goals: advises management on financial trends.
- Implements appropriate budget control procedures to ensure that budget centers do not exceed their approved annual budget authorizations by major object.
- Prepares plans and reports on the Company short and long range financial mission and operations for submission to the Executive Director.
- Develops procedures and policies for procurement of goods and business services for the Company.
- Reviews all policy statements in Finance and coordinates development of new and revised policies.
- Liaison with Bank and other financial institutions for the company funding activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
