A new and exciting restaurant is opening in the heart of Cape Town CBD situated in Bree Street and it's looking for an experienced kitchen manager to join its team. The training period for this store has already been completed, so the successful candidate would need to catch up as quickly as he / she can for the store opening on the 23rd of November 2023.
This person would be responsible for:
- The effective management for the entire Back of House
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the kitchen department stock ordering and receiving thereof.
- Coordinating.
- Conduct a daily stock take for the kitchen department.
- Conduct a daily morning food preparation for all sections in the kitchen.
- Assist kitchen manager with employee shift planning and implementation.
- Responsible for effective stock rotation
- Conduct daily stock freshness checks as to ensure that all stock used in the preparation of dishes is fresh and not expired.
- Responsible for BOH staff discipline
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: R9,000.00 - R13,500.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Kitchen Manager: 3 years (Required)
